Ergomade: from Excel planning to a platform
Ergomade, a furniture manufacturer with 400 employees and 90 work centres, replaced Excel-based planning with a platform integrated into NAV/Business Central — in nine months, with measurable savings in transport and production tracking.
What the client came to us with.
Ergomade ran NAV/Business Central with the manufacturing module, but delivery planning lived in Excel: routes built by hand, truck loading estimated by eye, transport costs rising year over year. Production progress was invisible — bottlenecks surfaced days later.
The solution.
A manufacturing platform integrated with NAV/Business Central over a service bus (RabbitMQ): optimised truck packing, delivery planning tools, real-time scanning of the start and end of every operation, and Power BI reports on a governed semantic model — for 200 users across 90 work centres. Delivered in nine months, with support from the Innovation Fund of the Republic of Serbia (IF ID 53232). That same architecture is the PROEE100 product today.
What measurably changed.
Real-time production tracking replaced manual record-keeping, and packing algorithms raised space utilisation on deliveries. More than 200 hours of manual work saved per month.
